On Thursday 12th December 2024, the academy supported Save The Children and generated some Christmas sparkle by taking part in their annual Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser. We asked that children brought a £1 donation to wear their favourite Christmas jumper.

Birley Primary Academy have been working with Sheffield Children’s Hospital again this year by sponsoring a snowflake. Miss Else attended the official switch on and as you can see from the photos our snowflake has pride of place on the hospital building. To raise money for the snowflake, we held a raffle at the academy to fundraise for this amazing charity. There were superb prizes up for grabs donated by many local businesses and in total we raised £600, which has been donated to this fantastic cause.
On Friday 21st March 2025, Birley Primary Academy participated in a small number of events to raise money for Comic Relief. This year, the event focused on supporting those in need during the current cost of living crisis and tackled issues such as homelessness and lack of food. Throughout the day, children explored some of the amazing work that Comic Relief does in the United Kingdom and throughout the world whilst donating money to wear something red to acknowledge Red Nose Day.
The total amount raised by the children at Birley Primary Academy was a fantastic £368.85.
