At our academy, we have a breakfast club and an after-school club which are both located in the academy’s dining room.
For children, it is a fantastic way of socialising and playing with their friends and for parents and carers it offers an established, safe child-care provision which can provide an onsite facility and is run by qualified and experienced staff who have training in play, first aid and food hygiene.
As our wrap-around care is run by the academy, we are OFSTED inspected making us a registered provider; therefore, we are able to accept childcare vouchers amongst our varied payment options for parents and carers.
Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club opens at 8am until the start of the academy day and offers many benefits to children. Typically, all pupils have the chance to eat a healthy breakfast before having some time to socialise and play with friends before being escorted into class on time for the start of the academy day. We offer a range of food including toast, cereals, fruit, crumpets and bagels with a drink of either juice, milk or water. Our Breakfast Club is also a fantastic asset for working parents as it can free up time for parents and carers in the morning as they know that their children are eating well in a relaxed atmosphere and having the chance to meet and play with their friends whilst they head to their working environment for their own starting time.
After-School Club
Our after-school club runs from 3.15pm-6pm on Monday to Thursday whilst finishing at the slightly earlier time of 5.30pm on Friday evening. Again, this is located in the dining room. On arrival, the children are served a light tea – some options include beans on toast, cheese and crackers, sandwiches and soup. Afterwards children get the chance to play and enjoy lots of different activities which are planned in conjunction with the children and staff. Sports, TV, crafts, games, gardening and baking are just a few of the play activities the children are offered.
Booking and Payments
We ask that parents and carers who wish to use any of our extended provision to contact the academy to register their interest with us. Registration will consist of us taking basic information – such as contact and medical details – to ensure your children are properly cared for. We ask that parents and carers book in advance for regular sessions. We do offer some flexibility for some parents/carers for example shift workers/occasional sessions but we do ask that you speak to a member of staff for more information first to ensure we have adequate places.
Fees
Breakfast Club: £4.00 per child per day.
After-School Club: £7.50 per session Monday to Thursday. £7.00 per session on Fridays.
